By adding context to the way we communicate, personal meaning is added to the message.
This unique function creates a way of talking with pictures that texts never can, and a reason for people to trade traditional messaging for Snapchat.
How to Create an Impression.
Take a snap.

Leave it for somebody
to receive.
Receiving an Impression.
When the receiver arrives within proximity of the chosen destination, they receive a notification that a Snapchat Impression was left for them, and open it in the very place it was intended to be.
Seeing the potential.
It could be used to remind your housemate to pick up milk when he drives past the supermarket on the way home. Or to refresh a memory for your girlfriend when she’s dancing at the bar where you shared your first kiss. To say Merry Christmas to the family when they sit down to eat lunch because you couldn’t make it this year, or to leave a Happy Mother’s Day snap at the door and give your mum the smile she deserves.
Snapchat Impressions can be funny, loving, nostalgic, practical, and everything in between. They let you leave a snap, to be received at the right place, at the right time, making the possibilities for personal communication endless.
The launch.
To launch the campaign we’d use the functionality of Snapchat Impressions itself to promote it. Using people’s Snap Memories, we’ll place personalised, geo-targeted Snapchat Impressions in places where they Snap most.
For people that aren’t already on the platform, we’d create digital OOH to house snaps with contextual imagery that promote talking with pictures at the perfect moments using Snapchat Impressions.
Snapchat Impressions takes talking with pictures to an even more personal, practical and intimate level. The new functionality and campaign give a purpose to talking that texting never has, and never will. Because being able to express yourself visually is one thing, but being able to do it where it matters and means something is what truly leaves an impression.
